President Yoon Suk-yeol is scheduled to make an official visit to the Czech Republic in September, accompanied by a large economic delegation that will include top executives from major South Korean conglomerates.

This visit is expected to serve as a significant opportunity to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries and explore new investment opportunities.

According to political and business sources on the 24th, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, who is also the Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will lead the economic delegation. Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong and LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo are also expected to join the delegation.

From Hyundai Motor Group, President Jang Jae-hoon is expected to accompany the delegation on behalf of Chairman Chung Eui-sun.

Notably, the economic delegation is expected to include representatives from domestic nuclear power companies, which were selected as the preferred bidders for the Czech Republic's new nuclear power plant construction project in July.

These representatives are likely to focus on exploring cooperation opportunities in the Czech nuclear power project and promoting the excellence of Korean nuclear technology.

An official from the Presidential Office stated, "The composition of the economic delegation is being coordinated by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the selection process for the Czech economic delegation is currently underway."

Ahead of President Yoon's visit to the Czech Republic, the Presidential Office has formed a Task Force (TF) to deepen the cooperation relationship between South Korea and the Czech Republic. The task force is discussing cooperation plans in various fields, including nuclear power cooperation, finance, industry, energy, science and technology, transportation infrastructure, and education.
